Our purpose-built manufacturing facility is located in New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland. This facility provides significant capabilities for standard and custom OEM products. We also provide additional services including contract manufacturing and private label packaging of many dry food ingredients including powders, sprinkles, dusts, and more.

Through continuous investment in new product development, plant & equipment, and innovation, we specialise in manufacturing great products, especially those made using only natural colours and flavours, as well as many other health benefits including gluten-free, vegan, and more. We take pride in collaborating with our customers and being an essential ingredient within their unique products.

We take huge pride and commitment for all things Food Safety and Quality. Our manufacturing facility operates to a HACCP Food Safety Programme and NP2 Food Control Plan. We are independently audited every year and are continuously striving to be the leading manufacturer you can trust.

Through our extensive network of both local and overseas producers, we can source and manage an end-to-end supply chain depending on your requirements providing the ability to offer a full-service solution to our customers for their special projects. Our imported offering is focused on more specialty sprinkles and ingredients including Shapes, Cachous (Dragees), Chocolate Shavings, Biscuit Crumb, Freeze-Dried Fruit, Chocolate, Hokey Pokey, other ingredient inclusions, and more.

The Sprinkle Factory is a division of Sweet Moments Group Limited. Sweet Moments is a specialty food solution provider to retail, bakery, food service, and industrial markets throughout New Zealand, Australia, Pacific Islands, Asia, and beyond, creating billions of sweet moments every year.

HISTORY

Founded in the 1970s as a confectionery manufacturer of sprinkles to the bakery industry by a Dutch immigrant in Henderson, New Zealand, the business was founded on the values of Innovation, Quality, Creativity, and Collaboration, which remain strong values within our business today.

Starting out as a small boutique factory on Railside Avenue in Henderson, the business was sold in the 1990s to Keith Carroll Chapman, who renamed the business Carroll Industries. Carroll Industries had a couple of other changes of ownership in the early 2000s until Stuart Walker purchased the business in 2010.

Formerly CEO of Hansells Food Group, Stuart brought extensive experience and technical knowledge from the food industry to help develop a ‘World Class’ manufacturing facility located in Avondale, Auckland.

Sweet Moments acquired the business in May 2021 and Carroll Industries was integrated as a division of Sweet Moments Group. We are a third-generation, family company founded in 1964, purpose-driven and on a never-ending journey to do great things with great people. This acquisition enables Sweet Moments to continue to invest in local New Zealand manufacturing and provide additional products and services for our great customers throughout New Zealand, Australia, Pacific Islands, Asia, and beyond.
